Jan 8 - “Moses and Elijah” © artwork by Julie Lonneman.

Though these two great prophets of the Old Testament were historically separated in time by hundreds of years, both were present at the transfiguration of Christ. They represent the two principal components of the Hebrew Scriptures: the Law and the Prophets. Moses was the giver of the Law, and Elijah was considered the greatest of the prophets.
