Wood Plaque - Saintly Tea Party by M. McGrath

This image was originally created for the British cover of Robert Ellsberg's book on women saints entitled, Blessed Among Women. In keeping with the British theme I chose a tea party of some of the women which Robert highlighted in the book. They are Mary and Elizabeth, Kateri Tekakwitha, Harriet Tubman, and Hildegard of Bingen; Mary Magdalene, Therese, and Dorothy Day; Brigid of Ireland, Joan of Arc, Anne Frank and Margaret of Scotland is front and center, where a queen should be.
